1. The weather
The National Weather Service predicts mostly sunny skies, with a high near 37 degrees today. Monday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 26 degrees.
2. Dexter Village Property Taxes
Payments on delinquent 2012 village property taxes can be accepted at the village offices until Feb. 28. Payments must be received in the village office by 5 p.m. on Feb. 28, postmarks cannot be accepted. After this date they must be paid at the Washtenaw County Treasurer’s Office.
Personal property taxes for commercial and industrial properties can still be accepted at the village offices past this date.

State Rep. Gretchen Driskell, D-Saline, along with Rep. Jeff Irwin, D-Ann Arbor, Rep. David Rutledge, D-Ypsilanti, and Rep. Adam Zemke, D-Ann Arbor, will meet with constituents at Washtenaw Intermediate School District on Feb. 25.

- $3.78 a gallon (regular) BP, 200 Baker Rd.
- $3.83 a gallon (regular), Sunoco, 2940 Baker Rd.
- $3.79 a gallon (regular), Pilot Service Station, 195 Baker Rd.
- $3.79 a gallon (regular), Pilot Service Station, 750 Baker Rd.
- $3.89 a gallon (regular), BP, 8135 Main St.
- $3.89 a gallon (regular), Mobil, 7177 Dexter-Ann Arbor Rd.
5. This day in history
Feb. 25, 1862: On this day in 1862, the U.S. Congress passed the Legal Tender Act, authorizing the use of paper notes to pay the government's bills. This ended the long-standing policy of using only gold or silver in transactions, and it allowed the government to finance the enormously costly Civil War long after its gold and silver reserves were depleted.
