Dexter's Pub is hosting its first "tap takeover" on Thursday, March 7.

The event will showcase seven rare and limited release ales from Bell's Brewery, including: Hopslam Ale, Red Nose ESB, Hell Hath No Fury Ale, Smitten Ale, Two-Hearted Ale, Midwestern Pale Ale, and Java Stout.

"We are pretty excited about it and hope it is successful so we can plan many more events in the future," pub owners Peter and Andrea Theocharakis said.

A representative from Bell's Brewery will be on hand to talk about and answer questions about the brewery and/or beers beginning at 6:30 p.m.

"This is the last time Hopslam will be available until January 2014, plus it's an opportunity for people to come out and support local Michigan businesses," Andrea said. "Basically its an evening of good beer, good food, and good company."
