Deputies Investigate Rollover Crash in Dexter Township
The following information was supplied by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.
On Aug. 12, a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed lost control near North Territorial and Dexter Townhall roads in Dexter Township. Deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the scene around 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival an investigation revealed that the driver and a lone occupant may have been intoxicated. A blood sample was taken from the driver and will be sent to the Michigan State Police crime lab for analysis.
On Aug 13, deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office received a call that a found dog was tied to the bench at the police substation in Dexter Village. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the dog was gone. No further information is available.
Larceny from a building
On Aug. 14, deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 3000 block of Edison Street in response to a larceny complaint. According to police reports, a toolbox and miscellaenous tools were removed from an office. There are no suspects.
On Aug. 17, deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Dexter-Pinckney and Bell roads in Dexter Township around 2 a.m. in response to a vehicle accident. According to police reports, the driver fell asleep, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a small tree. Minor injuries were reported.
