Mother’s Day is upon us once again. It’s the time of year we celebrate our moms, grandmas, mother figures, and all the women who have cared for and nurtured us throughout our lives. Whether buying her flowers, or treating her to a special lunch or dinner, Dexter Patch offers some ideas she is sure to enjoy.   • Mother's Day Brunch

Where/when: in Dexter is holding a Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Why go?: Treat mom to a delectable meal of french toast, wild berry pancakes, omelets, biscuits and gravy and other traditional breakfast foods.

  • Mother's Day Wine Tour

Where/when: Carson's American Bistro, 2000 Commonwealth Blvd. in Ann Arbor, 12:30-5 p.m.

Why go? Explore the Southeast Michigan countryside sampling wines at local vineyards while traveling in comfort and style with the Golden Limo Company. Where/when: Matthaei Botanical Gardens on the campus of the University of Michigan, 10 a.m.

Why go? Pick from an assortment of beautiful hanging baskets and terrace pots-perfect for mom-grown and designed on-site by volunteers.

  • Mother's Day with the Four Plaids

Where/when:  in Dexter will hold a special Mother's Day showing of Forever Plaid at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Why go: Bring moms and grandmas to the Encore to be serenaded by the Four Plaids. Hits such as "Three Coins in the Fountain" and "No Not Much" will be sure to touch the hearts of your loved ones.

Pricing: Adults (18 and older) $28, seniors (55 and older)$25, youths (17 and younger) $25, groups of 10 or more, $22. Visit the website to order tickets.

  • Mother's Day Lunch Buffet

Where/when: Ayse's Cafe, 1703 Plymouth Rd., Ann Arbor. Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Why go?: This Turkish spread features lamb, chicken, rice, vegetable dishes, salads, and a dessert table. Reservations can be made by calling 734-662-1711.
