Washtenaw County Sheriff's Deputies Arrest Suspects Linked to Home Burglaries in Dexter
Suspects led deputies on a chase in Webster Township before crashing their car in Whitmore Lake.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office arrested two male suspects in connection to a string of home invasions in the Dexter area.
According to Sgt. Keith Flores, on Jan. 24, homeowners in the 9000 block of Hamburg Road in Webster Township called 911 upon returning to their residence and discovering an unknown vehicle idling in the driveway.
Flores said upon arrival, deputies observed the vehicle leaving the driveway. After a short pursuit, the suspects crashed their vehicle at 23/8 mile in Whitmore Lake. Officers pursued two men on foot over US-23 before making the arrest.
Flores said the men are both in their early 20s from Ypsilanti. Through other investigations, deputies determined the suspects are connected to two additional home invasions in Webster Township and the village of Dexter.
