The Cool Process of Putting Together a Musical

Dear Friends,

Auditions have occurred. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I love to inspire people to be their best. It's my purpose for existence.

Next step: fit the performers to the musical numbers. This is really fun, because I asked each performer what songs and musicals they love. Then, I get to think about what songs and musicals I love, and put all of these ideas together! We will have solos, duets, small group numbers, tap dancing and a some big bang-for-your-buck showstoppers!

What started as my response to a post on Ann Arbor Auditions List  searching for an artistic director, has turned into a splendid way to spend my summer. I performed in a few Chelsea Area Players' (CAP) shows while growing up in Chelsea, so it is an honor to give back to the group by directing this exceptional show.

CAPtivating Rhythms: Celebrating 40 Years, is a tribute to CAP's first forty years of fabulous, fun theatre. We will highlight numbers from past shows that feature young and old alike.

Come join us for a fun cross-section of the best of the best from the past 40 years. You will be so glad you did!

Show information:

Washington Street Education Center (Old Chelsea High School) Auditorium

July 20-22.

Stay tuned for updates along the way in our process!
