The Dexter High School girls' golf team competed in the Chelsea Invitational at Reddeman Farms on Aug. 17.
Other teams included Chelsea, Jackson Northwest, Lansing Catholic, Lincoln, Marshall, Mason, Tecumseh, and Ypsilanti high schools.
Although the match came to an early close due to severe weather warnings, players managed to fit in a nine-hole round instead of the usual 18-holes.
Based on the nine-hole scores, Lansing Catholic came out on top with an overall team score of 18-over-par, followed by Jackson Northwest with a 35-over-par, and Chelsea, with a 39-over-par. Dexter came in fourth, with a close finishing score of 43-over-par.
The Dexter girls' golf team's next match is set for Aug. 22 at Hudson Mills Metropark.
