Baker College of Jackson to hold free college financial aid workshop Feb. 22

JACKSON, Mich. – Baker College of Jackson will hold its 2014 Senior Open House and Financial Aid Workshop, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, in the Welcome Center, 2800 Springport Road, Jackson. The workshop is free of charge and open to all high school seniors and their families, regardless of whether or not the students have identified their college of choice.

The event is designed to help attendees understand the various types of financial aid and to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2014-2015 academic year by the March 1 deadline. Statistics show that students who complete and submit FAFSA forms are more likely to go to college.

Prizes to be given away include three scholarships—valued at $500 each—to Baker College of Jackson and an iPad mini.
