Visit Creekside at noon today for the Up & Running Club's pole vault competition.
Dexter's pole vaulters are some of our finest high school athletes. Dexter has a powerhouse of a vaulting team, and regularly sends kids to nationals at the end of track season. The summer vaulting club "Up and Running" invites all the pole vaulters to keep training and achieving higher PRs during the summer. The Dexter Daze vault gets bigger every year, and this year has added a concession stand (as a fundraiser) to the music, good times, and excitement spectators have come to expect.
Vaulters capable of clearing 10 feet will start at noon separated into two groups on two runways: those with PRs of 10 feet to 12' and those with PRs 12' and above. Vaulters with heights up to 10 feet will start warm-ups at 2:00 p.m. and begin vaulting around 3:00.
