Ready. Set. March for Babies!

On April 27th at Hudson Mills Metropark, hundreds of families and business leaders will join together in the March of Dimes annual March for Babies - the walk fundraiser honoring babies born healthy and those who need help to survive and thrive.

Funds raised by March for Babies in MIchigan help support prenatal wellness programs, research grants, newborn intensive care unit (NICU) family support programs and advocacy efforts for stronger, healthier babies. One day, all babies will be born healthy - but we need to walk to get there.

March for Babies Washtenaw is a family-friendly event where you will have the opportunity to enjoy Mother Nature at one of the state's beautiful metroparks, while doing something great for babies.

Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death in the U.S. Those who survive an early birth may have lifelong health problems such as cerebral palsy, vision and hearing loss, and learning disabilities. About 4 million babies were born in the United States last year, and the March of Dimes helped each and every one through research, education, vaccines, and breakthroughs.

The event will take place April 27th at Hudson Mills Metropark from 9am until noon and will consist of a 3 mile walk along the exercise path as well as interactive checkpoints, games, a DJ, and free food and beverages. This year, our goal is to raise $245,000 to continue to fund vital community programs and research.
