Cyber Safety Winter Camp Registration Under Way

Students in grades seven through nine will learn about Internet bullying, sexting, and online predators during this three-day workshop at the Washtenaw Intermediate School District.

Looking for an educational way to spend winter break? Join the Washtenaw Area Council for Children for its first annual Cyber Safety Winter Camp on Feb. 18-21.

Participants will learn how to protect themselves from digital dangers while having fun. This program is based on WACC's peer mentoring program. Learn about cyberbullying, sexting, online predators, digital reputation, and online privacy and ethics. The camp will conclude with a community project of the campers' choosing designed to spread the word about cyber safety throughout Washtenaw County.

Registration is $25 per camper. The camp fee includes a T-shirt, daily snack, and all program materials. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, 1819 South Wagner Road, in Ann Arbor.
