Suburban Chevrolet Donates $2,000 to WISD Education Project

The donation will be used to offset the cost of purchasing winter clothes for homeless students in Washtenaw County.

The Washtenaw Intermediate School District recently received a $2,000 donation from Suburban Chevrolet in Ann Arbor to assist with the WISD's Education Project for Homeless Youth.

Mike Mosser, general manager of the auto dealership, presented the check to WISD representative Jennifer Martin on the Lucy Ann Lance Show.

The donation was designed to “show appreciation for the great work of the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office” by benefitting a charity chosen by Sheriff Jerry Clayton.

The Education Project for Homeless Youth serves and supports young people who are homeless and tries to maintain educational stability for them. Among the many services it offers, every year it tries to provide socks, underwear, hats, gloves, and winter coats for children.
