Yellow Door New Year's Eve Breakfast Benefits Faith in Action

Area Chefs Todd and Janice Ortbring and Paul Cousins will host a community breakfast fundraiser at the Chelsea Fairgrounds on Dec. 31.

Two Chelsea residents will put their culinary skills on display during a community breakfast to benefit Faith in Action on Dec. 31.

Todd and Janice Ortbring, founders of the Yellow Door community breakfast fundraiser, will host an event at the Chelsea Community Fair Grounds reception center from 9 a.m. to noon.

“Yellow Door is about people getting together, cooking together, supporting their local economy with food purchasing and supporting the local business economy by donating all the money to helping people start food-based businesses,” Janice said in a previous interview.

Todd Ortbring said the menu is being finalized and will feature three entree choices, coffee and juice. Guests are asked to make a donation of $15 (or more) at the door.

Chef Paul Cousins of Dexter will be preparing one of his signature dishes for the event. All ingredients on the menu are purchased from local farmers at Lunasa, an online market for fresh produce.
