'A Musical Taste of Dexter' Fundraiser Set for Sept. 23

The Dexter Community Orchestra and area businesses will spotlight the best of Dexter in a dinner fundraiser at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

The is hosting a fundraising event bringing together 17 area restaurant and food vendors and the musicians of the orchestra in one event titled “A Musical Taste of Dexter."

The event will be held at the in Dexter on Sept. 23, from 2-6 p.m. The 17 food vendors will all be bringing samples of menu items for guests to enjoy. While you are enjoying the wonderful food samples, you will be entertained by the chamber musicians of the Dexter Community Orchestra.

In addition, there will be a demonstration from the dancers as well as students.

The event would not be complete without raffles and prizes. A wide variety of themed baskets will be raffled off. will be holding raffles for free oil changes at its table, and the Dexter Community Orchestra will be holding its own silent auction to win a dinner for four hosted by, and prepared by Music Director Anthony Elliott.

Admission to the event is $7 per person. Taste tickets are needed to exchange for food samples at all the vendors’ tables. Taste tickets will be $1 each. Children 10 and under are admitted free but do need taste tickets in order to receive food samples. Raffle tickets for the themed basket raffle will be 50 cents each, 12 for $5, or 25 for $10.
