Bert Olton

Bert is a Dexter resident who has been interested in woodworking for as long as he can remember.  His first big project was to copy his grandfather’s rocking chair from throwaway scraps of wood from a construction site. Since then, Bert has progressed to making finely crafted and beautiful objects such as vases, candleholders, bowls, plates, nightlights and other items.  Bert loves to visualize and then produce a three dimensional form from a rough lump of wood.
