How to Sign Up for Limited Spaces at Purple Rose Theatre’s Actor Boot Camp

Class size is limited to 12 for "life-changing" boot camp teaching acting techniques, and career development strategies.

If you have a flair for the dramatic and aspirations for a professional acting career, Jeff Daniels’ Purple Rose Theatre Co. has a perfect opportunity.

The company is accepting applications for its Fall Actor Boot Camp, an intense, 16-hour workshop focusing on acting techniques and career development strategies used by working professionals, the Chelsea Standard reports.

Workshop hours are 7-11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22; 10 a.m-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23; and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24.

Register online at purplerosetheatre.org/education/classes or by phone at (734) 433-7782. Beginners are welcome, but participants must be 18 or older. The class size is limited to 12 people.

Guy Sanville, the theatre’s artistic director, called the workshop a “life-changing experience” that will stretch participants minds, bodies and spirits.

“The Boot Camp experience is very concentrated and quite powerful,” he said. “We cram about three months worth of training in a single weekend.”

Joining Sanville as an instructor during the workshop will be resident artist

Sanville and Purple Rose Resident Artist, Michelle Mountain, will teach the workshop.
