Hudson Mills Golf Course Plans Reopening of 'Back Nine' Holes by Memorial Day

Huron-Clinton Metroparks officials are working to repair the park's golf course that was heavily damaged by a tornado last month.

Construction crews at have been hard at work clearing damaged trees from the back nine holes of the park's golf course following an that blew through Dexter Township in March.

"The course is making a strong comeback thanks to hard work and dedication," Denise Semion, chief of communications for Huron-Clinton Metroparks said in a press release. "In the meantime, golfers are enjoying a beautiful front nine."

Fodor Timber, Inc. has been contracted to remove hundreds of damaged trees from the back-most portion of the course, which will help park crews in their effort to clean up the remaining areas of brush and debris, Semion said.

Metropark officials are hoping to have the course up and running at a full 18-holes by Memorial Day weekend, and are encouraging golfers to check the Metroparks' website, www.metroparks.com, for up to date course conditions and information.
