The art consignment shop will offer entertainment and appetizers for customers on Friday.

In honor of its fourth year in business, the owners of gallery in Dexter will host an anniversary party open to the public on Friday.

O’Hara said she and co-founders Lisa Wandres, Anne Kornow and Jamie Valen enjoy being able to support local artists.

“This anniversary is very exciting for us,” Valen said. “We’re just tickled that we’ve done so well. I think a lot of that has to do with the number of reasonably priced items that we are able to showcase.”

Kornow, a regular contributer on Dexter Patch, said she is excited for Friday's event.

"It's hard to believe that I've been a Dexter merchant for four years now," she said.

Since 2011, Artistica has added products from 10 new artists across Michigan. Some of the new products include:photos of buildings in Michigan that “reveal” letters of the alphabet, custom woodworking, stone works and Ukrainian Eggs, among others.

Krista Moss, a local Dexter artist who sells vintage button jewelry, said the opportunity to showcase her work at Artistica has been a positive experience.

"I have been doing art shows for more than 10 years. I live in Dexter and have always been a customer of the store. When I was approached at an art show to become an artist there I knew it was going to be great," she said. "I have already sold some of my newest designs, and Artistica just showcased my jewelry in its email mailing list and Facebook page. The owners are gracious and strive to make the gallery the best experience for both the customer and the artist."
