Aubree's Pizzeria Plans Dexter Franchise

The new restaurant is expected to open this summer on Main Street.

Aubree’s Pizzeria & Grill, an Ypsilanti-based restaurant, will expand into Dexter this summer with its first franchise at 8031 Main St.

The location was occupied by the North Point Seafood and Steakhouse until its earlier this year.

On Tuesday, a business agreement was signed between Aubree's owners Bill and Andy French and Amy Bulszewicz of Pinckney to open the franchise.

According to restaurant spokeswoman Tammy Fiddie, demolition of the former North Point's interior is under way with major changes to the layout of the kitchen and bar area.

"A new buffet area has been added to house our all you can eat pizza, salad and
breadstick lunch buffet. And nearly 20 TV’s will be added to the dining room, VIP room and bar area," she said in a press release.

Bulszewicz, who has lived in the Dexter area for several years, said she has always enjoyed the unique shops and feeling of community in Dexter.  She said she became interested in Aubree’s and the restaurant industry after visiting an existing location and admiring the food, concept and feeling of family within the business.

Fiddie said Aubree’s was approved by the State of Michigan to begin franchising in March and is looking to add more locations within the year in the Kalamazoo area.
