Erickson said members of the chamber’s board nominate the Business of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards. The Spark Plug award is given to someone the chamber deems helpful with marketing the community in the past year; and the Spirit of Dexter award is given to a member of the community who volunteers time to organizations in Dexter.

The cost to attend the dinner is $15, and the event is open to anyone in the community.

“It’s a chamber benefit, but anyone that wants to come can attend," Erickson said. "If they are interested in joining the chamber, this is a great way to check it out and get an overall vibe of what we do.”

For more information or for tickets, call the chamber at 734-426-0887. Reservations must be made by Tuesday.
