In honor of it's new hours, the business also decided to vamp up its food selections by creating a new menu for patrons. The pub offers everything from Fish Fry Fridays to new appetizers and salads, as well as entrees like barbecue pork and chicken alfredo.

Katie's is also serving eggs and sausage, breakfast hash, french toast, breakfast burritos, and several other selections for the early birds in town.

"We decided to offer breakfast on St. Patrick's Day and it was a huge hit," Downer said.

She said despite the new changes, the pub plans to retain some of its customer-friendly specials such as senior day on Tuesdays, where seniors 65 and older receive 50 percent off their bill, and happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. every day featuring half-off appetizers and $1 off drink specials.

Downer said despite a slow economy and Michigan's ban on indoor smoking, the pub continues to see an uptick in sales.

"We haven't really been affected by the economy nor the smoking ban," she said. "We've been lucky with our customers in Dexter."
