LaFontaine Plans Community Party for Chevrolet's Centennial Anniversary

Dexter residents can enjoy free food and prizes throughout the afternoon on Thursday.

Chevrolet will mark its 100 year anniversary this week and in Dexter is celebrating in grand fashion.

To commemorate the company's centennial anniversary, LaFontaine will hold a pizza party on Thursday beginning at 4 p.m. Guests can meet Brian "Bubba" Cowan of 102.9 W4 Country and share their favorite memories with fellow Chevy owners. The dealership will also kick-off its Toys for Tots campaign. Anyone who drops off a toy during the event will receive a free oil change.

"The whole day is shaping up to be one heck of a celebration. We're proud to be a partner of Chevrolet as they enter their second century with great momentum," spokesman Jason Stum said. "The next 100 years will see Chevrolet help remake the automobile to complement the needs of evolving societies and changing resources — all with its iconic style, performance and value."
