Stockbridge Wellness Center Grand Opening Set for Jan. 5

The grand opening of the Stockbridge Wellness Center (SWC) will take place Jan. 5. The center will be open for public tours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The grand opening features membership enrollment, tours of the facility, opportunities to meet the SWC staff, along with prizes and giveaways. To celebrate, SWC is offering a chance to win a $500 Apple gift card to anyone who enrolls for a full year’s membership during January.

The 5,400 square foot facility, located in Lantis Plaza, 5116 S. M-106, will provide residents living in the Stockbridge area access to a wellness facility featuring state-of-the-art cardio equipment, group exercise classes, fitness assessments, and more. Memberships are currently available.

"Development of this wellness center has been such a community collaboration,” said Amy Heydlauff, executive director of the Chelsea-Area Wellness Foundation. “The Stockbridge-Area Wellness Coalition utilized committed, local talent from within and outside the coalition. Now, let’s fill it up with community members who are equally motivated and hard working on behalf of their own health."

The Chelsea-Area Wellness Foundation is a tax-exempt private foundation governed by a volunteer board of directors. The foundation serves the populations included in the school districts of Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge. CWF will grant funds for projects dedicated to creating a culture of wellness and sustainable improvements in health.
