Wendy Brightman Joins United Methodist Retirement Communities in Chelsea

The Saline resident will lead the fundraising component of the retirement community.

United Methodist Retirement Communities, Inc. (UMRC) a nonprofit senior residential and healthcare services company, has hired Wendy Brightman as the executive director of its charitable arm, the UMRC Heritage Foundation.

Brightman will lead fundraising efforts and oversee the foundation’s staff. The UMRC Heritage Foundation focuses on raising funds to support the benevolent care program for residents in need of financial assistance to remain in their home and to support additional operating needs of UMRC.

Brightman, a resident of Saline, brings more than 12 years of fundraising and leadership experience to UMRC. Most recently, she served as managing director of Ele’s Place in Ann Arbor. Her previous experience focused on healthcare, social service and education development roles in Michigan and Ohio.
