DHS Men's Swim & Dive vs.  Chelsea - Senior Night 2014

The Dexter Men’s Swim & Dive Team hosted Chelsea for its annual Senior Night meet, Thursday, February 13 and yielded to the Bulldogs 101-85 in their first loss to the rivals in over 15 years. Despite the loss, the Dreads sophomore Ryan Stanton added two new individual state qualifiers (200 yard individual medley and 100 yard breaststroke) and classmate Matt Bergdolt grabbed two first place individual wins (200 yard freestyle, 500 yard freestyle). Chelsea’s senior captain David Alday led the his team with two first place individual finishes (200 yard individual medley and 100 yard freestyle) and swam on two winning relays. Dexter seniors honored before the meet included captains Jack Donevan, Jake Kilian and Andrew Watson, who were all four-year varsity letter winners, as well as senior exchange students swimmers Chema Calleja and Patrik Bansky; and divers Kittipong “Win” Leukanchanawanit, Marius Meinke and Mateo Saldarriago.

Dexter will next host the SEC White Division conference championships on February 21 & 22 before heading to Eastern Michigan University on March 7-8 for the Michigan Division 2 State Championships.
