1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts mostly sunny skies today, with a high near 55 degrees. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 38 degrees.

2. Growing local food talk with author Joel Salatin

Farmer Joel Salatin will lead a presentation on organic food production. Salatin will discuss how locally-grown food can help the country's agricultural and environmental communities. The presentation takes place at 8 p.m. at the Michigan Theater. Tickets are $15. Tickets can be purchased online at www.peoplesfood.coop.

3. Dexter Chamber plans community awards reception at Aubree's

The will host its "After Hours" event at Aubree's on May 22 starting at 5:30 p.m. to give out awards to local businesses. If you already purchased a ticket you are welcome to come and enjoy the appetizers and cash bar. If you would like to sign-up to come, email info@dexterchamber.org. The cost is $10 for members and $20 for non-members.
