5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 5

Here is a look at what's going on today around the Dexter area.

1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts patchy frost before 8 a.m., otherwise it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 50 degrees. Tonight there will be areas of frost after 2 a.m., with a low around 29 degrees.

2. Holy Thursday service

will hold a special Lenten mass at 7 p.m. at the country church, followed by prayer in the garden at 8:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend. The church is located at 6805 Mast Rd. in Dexter.

3. Teen craft workshop

The will host a spring craft event for tweens and teens at 11 a.m. Come learn how to make a mosaic bird house. The event is open to teens in grades 5-12. Registration is required.

4. Gas prices

MichiganGasPrices.com reports the following gasoline prices in the Dexter area as of Wednesday night:

5. This day in history
