2. Teen Holiday Gift Making

Still need a holiday gift for someone special? Join in the fun as the Dexter District Library provides personalized photo books for teens. All supplies will be provided, just add your own photos. The workshop takes place at 7 p.m. on Friday.

3. Christmas Tea

The tea will take place Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at Gordon Hall. Reservations are required by calling 734-426-2519. Proceeds benefit the Dexter Area Historical Society.

5. This day in history

Dec. 7, 1941: At 7:55 a.m. Hawaii time, a Japanese dive bomber bearing the red symbol of the Rising Sun of Japan on its wings appeared out of the clouds above the island of Oahu. A swarm of 360 Japanese warplanes followed, descending on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor in a ferocious assault.
