5 Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 10

Here is a look at what's going on today around the Dexter area.

Today we've included a weather update, gas prices and some suggestions on how to spend your day.

1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts there will be snow today mainly before 1 p.m., with a high near 36 degrees. Friday night there is a 40 percent chance of snow showers.

2. Movie Night

The will show the film You Again, starring Kristen Bell, Odette Annable, Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver. When a young woman realizes her brother is about to marry the girl who bullied her in high school, she sets out to expose the fiance's true colors. The movie will be shown at 6:30 p.m.

3. Smokey Joe's Cafe at the Encore

Jump back to the 1950s and sing along to some of rock and roll's greatest hits. The show is based on the musical hits of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who collaborated musically from 1950 to 1982, writing many hit songs including "Hound Dog," "Jailhouse Rock," "On Broadway," and "Stand By Me." The show will take place at 8 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday. Smokey Joe's Cafe' runs through Feb. 26 at The Encore.
