2. Dexter varsity basketball game
The Dexter junior varsity and varsity boys basketball teams will face-off against Adrian today beginning at 4:30 p.m. Come support the Dreadnaughts.

3. Drop In and Draw Art Class
The University of Michigan Museum of Art will host a drop in and draw class today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children and adults can stop in and draw from the collection with the help of an instructor. The cost is $10. For more information, visit the museum's website.

5. This day in history
Feb. 3, 1959: On this day in 1959, rising American rock stars Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson were killed when their chartered Beechcraft Bonanza plane crashed in Iowa a few minutes after takeoff, according to History.com.
