1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts mostly sunny skies today, with a high near 28 degrees. Tuesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 22 degrees.

2. Kaleidoscope Concert Series: Mustard’s Retreat

Country folk group Mustard’s Retreat will perform at the Silver Maples Kaleidoscope Concert series tonight at 7 p.m. For more information, visit www.silvermaples.org. The concert is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available at the Chelsea Senior Center.

3. Dexter Township Board of Trustees meeting

The Dexter Township Board of Trustees will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the township hall. A copy of the agenda can be downloaded from the township's website.

4. Gas prices

MichiganGasPrices.com reports the following gasoline prices in the Dexter area as of Monday night:

Jan. 15, 2009: On this day in 2009, a potential disaster turned into a heroic display of skill and composure when Capt. Chesley Burnett Sullenberger III safely landed the plane he was piloting on New York City’s Hudson River after a bird strike caused its engines to fail.
