1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts a chance of showers and thunderstorms today before 9 a.m. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 62 degrees.

3. LEGO contest

Participants have a set amount of time to create a structure and the judging begins. Registration is required and LEGOs will be provided by the Dexter District Library. There will be prizes for the best creations. Contestants will be broken down into grades:

Kindergarten through 2nd grade: 1 to 2 p.m.

Grades 3 and 4: 2 to 3 p.m.

Grades 5 to 9: 3 to 4 p.m.

5. This day in history

July 24, 2005: On this day in 2005, legendary American cyclist Lance Armstrong won a record-setting seventh consecutive Tour de France and retired from the sport.
