1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts mostly cloudy skies today, with a high near 28 degrees. Friday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 16 degrees. Saturday will be partly sunny, with a high near 25 degrees.

2. Movie and Popcorn

The Dexter District Library will screen the movie Hotel Transylvania for free at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1. Dracula, who operates a high-end resort away from the human world, goes into overprotective mode when a boy discovers the resort and falls for the count's teen-aged daughter.

3. Dexter Knights of Columbus Fish Fry

The Dexter Knights of Columbus will continue its annual Lenten Fish Fry today. Dinners will be served from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 8265 Dexter-Chelsea Road. Meals are $10, $9, and $6 for children under 10.

5. This day in history

March 1, 1932: On this day in 1932, in a crime that captured the attention of the entire nation, Charles Lindbergh III, the 20-month-old son of aviation hero Charles Lindbergh, was kidnapped from the family's new mansion in Hopewell, New Jersey.
