1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts sunny skies today, with a high near 32 degrees and a wind chill value as low as 0 degrees. Monday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 20 degrees.

2. Dexter Township Special Meeting

The Dexter Township Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on March 4 at 7 p.m. at the Dexter Township Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss an outdoor warning siren easement agreement; fire sub-station property acquisition; and a township copier purchase approval.

3. Dexter Board of Education Meeting

The Dexter Community Schools Board of Education will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at Creekside Intermediate School. The meeting agenda can be downloaded online at http://dexterschools.org/boardofeducation/packets-and-agendas/.

4. Gas prices

MichiganGasPrices.com reports the following gasoline prices in the Dexter area as of Sunday night:

  • $3.74 a gallon (regular) BP, 200 Baker Rd.

5. This day in history

March 4, 1861: On this day in 1861, Abraham Lincoln became the 16th president of the United States.
