1. The weather

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain showers, possibly mixing with snow after 1 p.m. Temperatures are expected to fall to around 39 degrees by 5 p.m. Tonight it will be mostly clear, with a low around 30 degrees.

2. Spring gardening series

Melissa Kesterson, advanced master gardener, explains the basics of garden site and plant selection, planting methods, soil amendments and pest control. The free lecture will take place today at 10 a.m.

3. Scholastic Book Fair

is holding a book fair today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the cafeteria. Stop by and order some books on your way to work to help support Dexter Schools.

4. Gas prices

MichiganGasPrices.com reports the following gasoline prices in the Dexter area as of Wednesday night:
