3. Beer Tasting and Silent Auction

A silent auction fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation will take place at the Arbor Brewing Company today at 5:30 p.m. This year, a beer tasting and appetizers will accompany the usual silent auction. 5. This day in history

May 23, 1934: On this day, famed fugitives Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker were killed in a police ambush near Sailes, Louisiana. A contingent of officers from Texas and Louisiana set up along the highway, waiting for Bonnie and Clyde to appear, and then unloaded a two-minute fusillade of 167 bullets at their car, killing the criminal couple.
