The National Weather Service predicts showers and thunderstorms throughout the day today, with a high near 75 degrees. Friday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 51 degrees.

Dexter residents can attend a one-day leadership seminar with speakers from around the world during the Chick-fil-A Leadercast at Dexter United Methodist Church today. The seminar is broadcast live from Atlanta, Ga. to hundreds of sites throughout the nation. Speakers for this year’s event include Soledad O’Brien, anchor and special correspondent for CNN, and Tim Tebow, NFL quarterback. For more information, call 734-426-8480. The cost is $55. Ticket price includes catered breaks and lunch, wi-fi access, conference setting, and all conference materials.

3. National Star Wars Day

Celebrate all things Star Wars with themed snacks, trivia and chances to win prizes at the today from 4-5:30 p.m.
