1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts partly sunny skies today, with a high near 76 degrees. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 56 degrees.

2. Candidate Forum

The Dexter Education Association and the Dexter Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a candidate forum to be held at Creekside Intermediate School in the cafeteria at 6 p.m. Oct. 24. The schedule for the evening is as follows:

6 p.m. Board of Education Candidates
6:45 p.m. 52nd District Michigan House of Representative Candidates
7:15 p.m. Dexter Village Council Candidates

3. Vampire's Ball at Zingerman's Roadhouse

Hosted by Zingerman’s Roadhouse, this benefit for Food Gatherers pairs a fabulous multi-course dinner with an evening of spooky entertainment. Guests are treated to readings from bestselling novelist Elizabeth Kostova, tarot card readings, and other spirited activities. The money raised at the Vampires’ Ball provides tens of thousands of meals for hungry people in our community. Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased by calling Food Gatherers at 734-761-2796.
