Community Briefs: Artistica Holds 'Men's Night Out'; Dexter Arts Center Plans Winter Camp

Here is a look at some upcoming events in Dexter.

'Men's Night Out' at Artistica

The holidays have arrived and Artistica is ready. The store will host a shopping event for men from 5-8 p.m. Dec. 16.

Come in and shop for great gifts for loved ones made by Michigan artists. Artistica will provide free gift wrapping on all purchases. There will also be a 10 percent discount for customers who mention this article in Dexter Patch.

In addition to shopping, there will be refreshments and munchies including Southwestern dip, pigs in blankets, meatballs, chips and and salsa.

While men are enjoying their day of shopping, women can enjoy Happy Hour specials at , , and from 5-8 p.m. with a valid Artistica card. Gift registry service is available at Artistica, as well.

Dexter Arts Center plans winter camp for children

Need something to do the last week of Christmas break? Come have fun at the for a week of exploring the world of art. Artists will teach students how to create hand-made projects tailored to specific ages. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch, water bottle plus snacks for the morning and afternoon. There will be an exhibition and reception at the end of camp to display the week's worth of artwork. Sign up for classes online at dexterartscenter.org or call 734-265-0283.
