Seniors Get Stuffed

Service groups throughout the community will come together to provide a hot Thanksgiving meal to Dexter seniors today during the 10th annual "Seniors Get Stuffed" event.

This year “Seniors Get Stuffed” will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the . Doors will open at 11 a.m. Individuals who are 55 and older or disabled are invited to attend this event.

will be providing the turkeys and all the trimmings. Steve and Sandy Varney and volunteers from will prepare the food. The Dexter Lions Club, Kiwanis Club of Dexter, Boy Scout Troop 477, the Dexter High School Key Club and Leo’s Club, as well as other volunteers will also help with the event.

Monthly dinner at St. Andrews

in Dexter will hold a monthly dinner from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 1. The meal is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12 and includes roast beef with all the trimmings. Dessert and beverages will be included. Tickets are available at the door.

Youth basketball tryouts planned for Dec. 3

The Western Washtenaw Basketball Association's Warriors basketball program will host tryouts for its seventh and eighth grade boys' travel teams from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Dec. 3. Tryouts will be held in the Chelsea High School gym. For more information, visit wwbawarriors.wordpress.com.
