County Sheriff's Office Warns People to Keep Cars Locked

Sheriff's Office reports three vehicle larcenies overnight.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is warning vehicle owners to lock their cars at night after a rash of car break-ins last night.

According to an email by Sgt. Keith Flores, there were vehicle break-ins at the 7000 block of Dexter Ann Arbor, the 3000 block of Edison and the 7000 block of Third.

Golf clubs, sunglasses, a storage back and other miscellaneous items were reported stolen, according to Flores. He said all the vehicle were unlocked.

"It's a shame we have to lock our cars, but in a case like this it sounds like it would have prevented the thefts," Flores said in his email.

Flores said no damage was reported to any of the vehicles.
