Summer Reading Program

Dexter Arts Center

• Mosaic Table: (ages 12 and up) 1-3 p.m. Monday through July 15. Students will learn about mosaic designs, cutting glass, grinding, grouting and more. The cost is $148.50 for members and $165 for nonmembers and includes the table and all materials and tools used for this class.
• Songwriting: (ages 12 and up) 5-7 p.m. Aug. 15-19. The group will write, collaboratively, with the help of a local songwriter/community advocate to produce a positive song. The lead teachers guide youth through the songwriting, performing and recording processes using a variety of teaching skills and multimedia examples. The cost is $157.50 for members and $175 for nonmembers.
• Poly-Clay Jewelery: (ages 12 and up) 1-2 p.m. July 16 and July 23. Students will learn how to create polymer clay jewelry by making different-shaped beads, colorful pendants and more. They will also learn how to put together a necklace and bracelet with clasps, cords and spacers. The cost is $40 for members or $50 for nonmembers.
