1. The weather

The National Weather Service is predicting sunny skies, with a high near 57 degrees today. Wednesday night it will be mostly clear, with a low around 31 degrees.

2. Mario Kart Wii tournament

The will host a Mario Kart tournament on the Nintendo Wii at 11 a.m. today. The tournament is open to children ages 6-12.

3. The Purple Rose presents White Buffalo

Spend a night out in Chelsea and catch a showing of the world premiere play, at the Purple Rose Theatre. Shows are at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. For more information, visit www.purplerosetheatre.org.

5. This day in history

April 4, 1968: Just after 6 p.m. on April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. was fatally shot while standing on the balcony outside his second-story room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. The civil rights leader was in Memphis to support a sanitation workers' strike and was on his way to dinner when a bullet struck him in the jaw and severed his spinal cord.
