1. The weather

The National Weather Service reports temperatures will peak at 80 degrees and partly cloudy skies. There's a 30 percent chance of rain showers Thursday night.

2. Travel the globe

Take a trip to Australia while never leaving the comfort of the . As part of the Adult Summer Reading program, Jenny Sutherland of the Detroit Zoo’s Speakers Bureau will have a slideshow and lecture on the animals of Australia. This show will be geared toward adults, but children are welcome if accompanied by a parent. There will be no live animals at this presentation. The presentation is free but registration is required.

3. Soccer Referee Training

If you are interested in becoming a certified United States Soccer Federation (USSF) referee, there will be an entry level referee course offered today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dexter High School. To register for this class, go to www.msysareferee.net and follow the instructions under "Registration Process."

4. Gas Prices

On the road today? MichiganGasPrices.com reports the lowest gas price at $3.72 per gallon at the BP station at 200 Baker Rd. near Interstate 94 and Exit 167 in Dexter.
