1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts today will be partly sunny, with a high near 43 degrees. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 35 degrees.

2. Friday Night Movie

The will screen the World War II film Valkyrie starring Tom Cruise tonight at 6:30 p.m. The film follows a group of German officers, including Claus von Stauffenberg (Cruise), who plotted a coup to assassinate Adolph Hitler and seize power of the military command in order to end the war.

3. Road closure

Ann Arbor Street between Edison and Dover streets will be closed today from approximately 9 a.m. to noon so that asphalt can be poured in the area impacted by the water main project.

4. Gas prices

5. This day in history

Nov 11, 1918: At 5 a.m. Nov. 11, 1918 World War I ended. Germany, bereft of manpower and supplies and faced with imminent invasion, signed an armistice agreement with the Allies in a railroad car outside Compiégne, France.
