2. Origami workshop

Local crafter Helen O’Toole, will help students create a beautiful and intricately folded Thanksgiving turkey card using the craft of Iris Folding at the today at 2 p.m. Join O'Toole for a fun afternoon of Iris crafting. Space is limited to 15 adult patrons. Call 734-426-4477 to register.

3. Athletic Boot Camp

The Pivotal Movement Center in Dexter will offer an athletic conditioning camp session for $15 today at 6 p.m. In this high intensity class you’ll perform functional exercises using your body weight, kettle-bells, TRX and more. For more information, call 734-259-9004.

5. This day in history

Nov. 15, 1956: On this day in 1956, Love Me Tender, featuring the singer Elvis Presley in his big-screen debut, premieres in New York at the Paramount Theater. Set in Texas following the American Civil War, the film, which co-starred Richard Egan and Debra Paget, featured Elvis as Clint Reno, the younger brother of a Confederate soldier.
