1. Nevermore at the Encore Musical Theatre
, 3126 Broad St., will present a new musical on the life of Edgar Allen Poe showing at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Why go?: Known for its stellar productions, any performance by Encore is a must-see. Nevermore is as dark and mysterious as the person it is about, Edgar Allan Poe. Using a combination of Poe’s writing and music, Nevermore will leave audiences asking for more.

2. Knights of Columbus Fish Fry
Where/When: , 4:40-7:30 p.m. Friday.
Why go?: Enjoy all-you-can-eat fish, potato bar and desserts.
Pricing: $10 eat-in, $9 drive-through, $5 kids.
3. Daddy/Daughter Dance
Where/When: , 6-8 p.m. Saturday.
Why go?: Spend an evening with your favorite daughter or stepdaughter with music, dancing and fun.

4. Trivia Night
Where/When: The Creekside Trivia Night will take place at the at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Why go?: Nothing makes you feel smarter than a night of fun-filled trivia. Grab a group of your friends and see who you can outsmart.

5. Couple's Dance
Where/When: , Saturday evening.
Why go?: If you are looking to rekindle some romance in your life, grab a partner and come dance the night away at Katie's in Dexter.
