- Chelsea Area Garden Club Plant Sale
Where/when: The plant sale will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at 222 S. Main St. in Chelsea.
Why go?: Thousands of plants from local gardens will be on sale, including perennials, ferns, hostas, wildflowers, herbs and ornamental grasses.

- Relay for Life of Dexter
Where/when: The relay will take place at , 3215 Central St. in downtown Dexter beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Why go?: Come visit with friends and neighbors while supporting the efforts of the American Cancer Society. The event will feature live music, performances and games for the kids.

- Piece-makers Quilt Show
Where/when: , Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why go?: Come check out over 100 handmade quilts that will be on display throughout the day. There will also be quilting supplies for sale and fiber arts demonstrations.

- Chocolate cake workshop
Where/when: Zingerman's Bakehouse, 3711 Plaza Dr. in Ann Arbor, 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Why go?: Learn to make a chocolate creation with all the components of a triple threat: a rich buttery chocolate cake filled with a decadent chocolate filling, then enrobed with even more chocolate and dusted with coco powder.

- Michigan Flyers Open House
Where/when: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 801 Airport Dr. in Ann Arbor.
Why go?: The Flyers are Ann Arbor's oldest flying club, located at the Ann Arbor Municipal Airport. They will have coffee, Washtenaw Dairy donuts, and a cookout in the afternoon. Planes will be on display, and if the weather cooperates, they'll be flying.
