Girl Scout Cookie Sales Underway in Dexter

Cookie orders will be accepted through Jan. 20 and benefit Girl Scout programs throughout Michigan.

Dexter residents with a sweet tooth have something to smile about this winter. Girl Scouts in Washtenaw and Livingston counties are currently taking orders for their famous cookies.

The cookie sales will run through Jan. 20 and include all the classics such as Thin Mint, Samoa, Tagalong, Trefoil, Do-Si-Do, Dulce de Leche and Thank U Berry Munch. Girls will deliver pre-ordered cookies beginning Feb. 17 and will offer cookies at booths beginning Feb. 17 through March 18. Cookies are priced at $3.50 a box.

This year, the scouts have added a new treat to their selection, Savannah Smiles. The lemon-wedge cookie is being added in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts, and the name of the city where the organization was founded, Savannah, Ga.
