Humane Society of Huron Valley Seeks Celebrity Spokesdog

Applications are due on Jan. 23 to be considered for the contest.

ANN ARBOR — The Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) will be celebrating the 33rd annual "Walk & Wag," dog walk and family fun day on May 19 at Rolling Hill Park in Ypsilanti. The humane society is currently searching for a "celebrity spokesdog" to be the goodwill ambassador for the event.

The event is the largest fundraiser for HSHV, featuring doggie games and contests, prizes, animal-themed merchandise, family-friendly activities and a morning 5K run. All dogs are welcome to participate with their owners.

Does your dog have what it takes to be a celebrity? The winning dog should be an alumnus of the humane society, be friendly toward people and other animals, well-mannered, and available to attend media events and the Walk & Wag on May 19.
